PHOENIX INDUSTRIAL MONITORING POSITIONS

Under the direction of the IT Manager, the Assistant IT Project Manager is responsible for working with business units and IT teams to design and develop IT networks, video monitoring, IAM, and security monitoring system to expand the footprint of the current system. This includes managing projects, eliciting business requirements, creating functional specifications, creating RFQs, network design and implementation, network documentation, publishing progress reports, and facilitating meetings.

  • Create project documentation and artifacts
  • Develop scope and requirements
  • Review Problems and Incidents to evaluate effort, priority, and impacts
  • Adjust project schedules and targets as needed to meet changing demands
  • Track project costs and identify/mitigate project risks
  • Ensure assigned projects are coordinated to achieve high-level project initiatives
  • Facilitate integration of solutions for approved emerging technologies
  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s)
  • Work as part of the IT team to create new documentation or system diagrams
  • Work with many different teams and departments to develop scope and help drive projects forward; assist in prioritization
  • Communicate status updates to the project stakeholder(s)
  • Test that business requirements are met
  • Assist/Lead the business with user training
  • Travel 25%, up to 50%

Education

  • Associates degree in IT, Networking, Business, Project Management or similar background
  • Bachelors degree (preferred)
  • Equivalent experience is acceptable

Certifications/Licenses

  • Certified Associate of Project Management (Preferred)

Experience

  • 2+ years of applicable experience in IT leading project and implementations
  • Proven experience working in a result-driven, diverse environment
  • Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Project, and Visio
  • History of success developing, driving, and implementing IT projects
  • Successful implementation of IT project initiatives

MILWAUKEE, WI

The Phoenix Industrial Monitoring Security Guards provide security services on the Phoenix Campus. Assignments are made to the Security Control Center, metal detector posts, and other various assignments.

  • When performing as a Security Control Center Telecommunicator, guards are responsible for life-safety incidents reported via the internal 911 system, dispatch alarm monitoring, Control Access System operations, municipal call answering, and other varied assignments.
  • When assigned to metal detector posts, officers are responsible for monitoring employees entering and leaving assigned areas. Security Officers at metal detector posts monitor for improperly removed parts from the area and other duties as assigned.
Endicott, NY

Emergency Services Technicians enforce all security and life-safety company rules, regulations, policies, and procedures. The position also enforces local, state, and federal laws, rules, and regulations relating to security and life safety. They proactively respond to security and life-safety issues on the Phoenix Campus through an active patrol and enforcement program.

  • Provide immediate response to and preliminary investigation of all violations of local, state, and federal laws, rules, and regulations, including violations of company and campus security policy and procedures, sprinkler alarms, hazmat emergencies, elevator emergencies, spills, odors, medical emergencies, confined-space emergencies, various security problems, and all other nonspecific alarms or issues.
  • Provide emergency and non-emergency responses to security and life-safety situations.
  • Conduct preliminary security investigations.
  • Issue permits for hot work, roof access, cranes, confined space, and propane-powered trucks.
  • Properly identify the correct sprinkler system that needs to be shut down and shut off that system. When work has been completed, the technician will be required to properly bring the system back online.
  • On a monthly basis, be responsible for inspecting all fire extinguishers, fire doors, sprinkler valves, and stairwell doors with their group. They will perform security systems checks as scheduled or required. They will be responsible for flow testing all sprinkler systems within their group.
  • On a yearly basis, test smoke detectors, pull boxes, dry sprinkler systems, anti-freeze systems, deluge systems, pre-action systems, all in-service hoses, all site hydrants, and all sprinkler riser main drains.
  • Assist other department members with maintaining and testing level A suits, vehicle equipment maintenance, inventory, CO2 systems, and foam systems
  • All members will be required to have at least a Medical CFR certification and a NY State Firefighter 1 or equivalent certification.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a New York State Security Guard License.
  • Must be willing to be trained in Confined Space Entry and Rescue.
  • Have a working knowledge of at least low angle rescue techniques.
  • Be able to pass a SCBA test for fit testing and physical.
  • Have no history of being claustrophobic.
  • Must possess a high school diploma.
  • A college degree in criminal justice, fire science, security services, or other related fields is preferred.

Phoenix Industrial Monitoring Security and Emergency Services Control Center Operators are responsible for call taking, monitoring, dispatching, and coordinating Security and Emergency Services operations on the Phoenix Campus.

  • Maintain radio communications with Phoenix Industrial Monitoring Security, Emergency Services personnel, and Phoenix Facilities Maintenance personnel.
  • Maintain radio communications with local law enforcement, local fire, and local emergency medical services requesting backup assistance and coordinating emergency/non-emergency response to the Phoenix Campus.
  • Monitor numerous telephone systems, alarm systems, and radio frequencies simultaneously.
  • Must exercise sound independent judgment in prioritizing calls and dispatching appropriate security and emergency services to situations that may involve danger to life and/or damage to property as quickly as possible.
  • Issue badges to employees, visitors, and contractors in accordance with the Controlled Access System procedures.
  • Monitor closed-circuit televisions.
  • Work in an environment that includes high stress, dealing with life and death situations, the need to remain calm in emergency situations, and the need to be polite when dealing with angry and abusive people.
  • Maintain accurate records of all calls placed and received.
  • Work shifts that cover both day and night hours.
  • Provide backup as Security Guards in various Security Guard Operations located on the Huron Campus and may be required to perform various clerical duties as needed.
  • Perform other related work as required.
  • Be able to work under stressful situations using multitasking abilities. Monitor and respond or dispatch effectively during an emergency or stressful situation, particularly fires and life-threatening incidents.
  • Use good communications skills to gather and pass on information to and from clients, coworkers, and customers.
  • Have adequate hearing to perform security-related jobs.
  • Have a valid phone number.
  • Be willing to work nights and weekends.
  • Be able to physically stand, walk, or patrol most of their shift.
  • Be able to provide courteous assistance, directions, and escorts in response to requests.
  • Accurately document situations and incidents in report format, using clear, concise language.
  • Monitor and report activity observed in person or via closed-circuit television.
  • Have knowledge of common radio communications procedures.
  • Work independently, without direct supervision or assistance.
  • Be able to work overtime on short notice.
  • Be able to work with employees and the public in a courteous but persuasive manner.
  • Be able to act quickly and decisively.
  • Have knowledge of state and local law enforcement techniques, equipment, and procedures.
  • Have knowledge of fire suppression techniques, equipment, and procedures.
  • Have knowledge of Emergency Medical System techniques, equipment, and procedures.
  • Must currently own or have the ability to obtain a CPR and First Aid certification and an NYS Security Guard License.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
